Senior Account Executive - Marine Hull

Join our Marine Hull team and help deliver high-quality insurance solutions for shipowners operating in a complex global market. You will work closely with clients, brokers and underwriters, support the management of Marine Hull programmes and contribute to the continued growth of our London-based business.

This opportunity would suit an experienced marine insurance professional who is ready to take greater ownership of client delivery while continuing to develop their technical, commercial and broking expertise.

The Role

• Manage day-to-day client service activities across an assigned portfolio of Marine Hull accounts.
• Build effective relationships with clients, underwriters, brokers and other market partners.
• Gather and analyse risk information to support programme design, renewal strategy and market presentations.
• Prepare and review placement, policy and client documentation, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate renewal activity, client meetings, insurer discussions, proposals and tender responses.
• Identify opportunities to improve client service, strengthen existing relationships and support portfolio growth.
• Work collaboratively across the Marine business, escalating complex technical or commercial matters where appropriate.

What you’ll bring
 

• Relevant experience in marine insurance, broking, underwriting or a transferable specialty insurance environment.

• A practical understanding of Marine Hull insurance, placement processes and London market practices.
• Experience supporting or managing client accounts, renewals and insurance documentation.
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with clients and insurance market partners.
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• An analytical, accurate and collaborative approach to client and technical work.
• Progress towards, or willingness to pursue, a relevant insurance qualification such as CII.
