The Strategic Contract Manager plays a critical role in leading WTW’s most complex and high-impact client contracting efforts. This position is responsible for managing end-to-end contract delivery, coordinating across internal functions, and preparing materials that support successful client negotiations. Working primarily with North America-based stakeholders, the Strategic Contract Manager ensures alignment, drives timely execution, and supports real-time client interactions as needed. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, strong business judgment, and the ability to navigate competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. It is ideal for experienced professionals with a background in contracts, legal operations, or client-facing project management who are comfortable working in a global team structure and consistently supporting EST hours.

Some of your functions will be to:

  • Facilitate the full contract review process, focusing on complex requests from our largest clients
  • Manage timelines, alignment, escalations, and issue resolution across stakeholders
  • Serves as the main contact point and acts as a liaison between client leaders, Legal and subject matter experts
  • Direct documents to the correct reviewers and follow up to ensure timely feedback according to SLAs.
  • Proactively prepares negotiation materials (e.g., issue summaries, trackers, talking points) based on Legal guidance and/or playbooks to effectively prepare client lead for negotiation discussions.
  • Project manage internal discussions around client contracts with internal functions involved in contracting
  • Join client negotiation calls to provide live support, represent internal SME perspectives, as applicable, and ensure timely follow-ups and documentation after client discussions
  • Ensure the tiered approvals process is followed and proactively engage CAC for approval if required
  • Champion the utilization of a CLMS and follow best practices in engagement with our SMEs
  • Works closely with Sales Operations, Client Leads, Legal, ICS, LOBs, COEs and other SMEs
  • Manage all contract versions, ensuring accurate tracking and delivery of a client-ready version once all reviews are complete.
  • Manage contract documentation ensuring fully executed contracts are uploaded and maintained in the Global contract repository.
  • Address any process or communication barriers promptly and escalate when needed to keep the contract moving smoothly.
  • Help the COE Leads identify improved processes and efficiencies and partners with WTW colleagues to implement changes

Qualifications

Qualifications
§Strong project management and coordination skills across multiple internal and external stakeholder groups
§Ability to proactively manage complex workflows with minimal oversight
§Skilled in preparing summaries, trackers, and materials to support client negotiations
§High attention to detail and accuracy in managing contract content and versions
§Ability to build credibility and influence with senior internal stakeholders and support live client calls
§Strong written and verbal communication skills, including synthesis of key issues/trade-offs
§Understanding of the full contract lifecycle and associated approval processes
§Collaborative and team-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset
§Legal, Contracting, RFP, or related experience required
§Spanish and/or French language proficiency at a business-transaction level preferred
