Description

We are looking for an Asset Transition Project Manager to join the LifeSight Onboarding Team, playing a pivotal role in delivering the successful transition of pension assets and member records into LifeSight for participating employers. This role sits at the heart of our pension scheme onboarding process, ensuring the efficient and accurate transfer of assets into one of the UK's leading defined contributions (DC) master trusts while delivering a positive experience for employers, trustees and members.

The Role

Part of the role will also be to manage the relationship with LifeSight’s Platform provider and being the subject matter expert on the asset transition aspects of tender responses and pitches. Management of asset transition and provider aspects of Employer driven projects and other LifeSight wide changes. The role will be hybrid and therefore the location is flexible for the right candidate although travel around the UK will be required for face-to-face meetings with clients and interaction with the LifeSight teams in each of London and Redhill.

Asset transitions: 

  • Project management of asset transitions including liaising with incumbent investment managers, the administrator(s), LifeSight client relationship manager,
  • legal advisers and incumbent Trustee/Company representatives
  • Review of legal documentation
  • Co-ordination of requirements from all parties
  • Development and maintenance of transition project plan
  • Attendance at meetings as required (may involve travel)
  • Review fund mapping proposals for implementation in line with system ability
  • Calculation of estimated and actual transaction costs
  • Recommend suitable transition approach
  • Escalation point of contact for problem-solving either at planning stage or during implementation in respect of the asset transition

Platform provider relationship management:

  • Monitoring of service levels of the platform provider
  • Attendance at Joint Management Committee meetings
  • Assist in leading the relationship with LifeSight’s platform provider working cross team to ensure satisfactory service is maintained
  • Management of fund changes including coordinating with all parties impacted by change

Ad hoc:

  • Ongoing development of processes for LifeSight product and asset transitions
  • Assist in the preparation of tender responses, including drafting responses estimated transaction costs, transition approach and fund mapping
  • Attendance as required at participating employer meetings, LifeSight Trustee meetings, pitches 
  • Subject matter expert for queries arising from internal teams.

Qualifications

What you'll bring

  • Previous experience of DC pensions within a project management capacity 
  • Experience of managing asset transitions
  • Broad understanding of product and operational aspects of a master trust like LifeSight
  • Experience of pension administration processes and investment transition approaches available for master trusts
  • Collaborative style, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good stakeholder management skills and ability to negotiate
  • Good experience of Microsoft Project and Excel
  • Ability to manage a large and diverse workload
  • Ability to adapt to evolving requirements and work under pressure
  • Firm commitment to Professional Excellence and delivering a high-quality service
  • Great team player with ability to develop and challenge ideas to solve client/business needs

     

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint
