About The Team
The Group Compliance Function’s aim is to proactively support Willis Towers Watson to generate sustainable value, helping the company to deliver good client outcomes, manage its conduct, protect against regulatory risk, and to maintain strong regulatory relationships. We aim to be a trusted partner to the business. Within Willis Towers Watson’s internal control system, we form part of the Second Line of Defense, as a function independent from daily business activities. We monitor compliance with regulatory obligations and implemented controls within the Compliance Program. The Compliance team leads the management and co-ordination of the requirements of our global regulators.
Job Summary
The role includes collating business cases, organizing meetings based on member availability, and capturing key discussions, challenges, and action items. It also involves coordinating with leaders for smooth meeting execution, maintaining action logs with follow-ups, and ensuring proper documentation for a complete audit trail.
The responsibilities include reviewing and approving documentation, along with managing centralized activities. The role requires providing global support for monitoring activities, which involves understanding various work types, monitoring mechanisms, and engaging with global stakeholders. It also involves administering the Global Compliance Intranet page, ensuring that relevant and up-to-date information is uploaded, regularly monitoring the content, and coordinating necessary approvals for all updates.
Team Scope / restrictions
The team provides global coordination and monitoring support (meeting administration, documentation, trackers, and reporting) to enable Compliance Business Partners (CBPs) and leadership decision-making. The team does not set policy or make final risk/compliance decisions; it operates within defined timelines, quality standards, and approved workflows, escalating incidents and obtaining required approvals through the appropriate leaders.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities
- Assists with Willis Compliance policies and procedures
- Work closely with Compliance Business Partners (CBP’s) globally, to support the wider Compliance objectives
- Conduct periodic monitoring reviews, reporting results to the relevant Compliance Business Partners, and ensuring that all incidents are escalated appropriately.
- Maintenance of the workflow tracker and mailboxes to have a thorough mechanism of work incoming and completion along with defined service level agreements, reporting on status on these monthly
- Quality of work to be tracked and similarly feedback from the stakeholders, framework to be designed in collaboration. Adherence to this and showcasing management information report
- Engagement with Operational Excellence to review any improvements recommended / worked upon by them do not miss any key controls in the process.
- Adhoc requests to be managed within quality standards and defined timelines
- Administrative Tasks related to setting up of Third-Party Committee Meetings (Global) which include –
- Collation of business cases
- Quorum set up basis availability of members
- Note taking activity which will include summarizing the challenges / discussions and also the action items from the meetings
- Co-ordinating with leaders across for the efficient run of these meetings and timely closures
- Maintenance of action logs for these meetings and follow ups for them
- Documentation and storage for complete audit trail of these meetings
Report outcomes
- Provide regular updates on relevant compliance metrics and commentary prior to submission for reporting to management or Senior Management. Updates to cover:
- Actions taken to manage the compliance risks
- Serious or persistent compliance issues
- Results of monitoring activity
- Other relevant matters
- Discuss all legal and regulatory issues with Group Compliance Function and report in the appropriate database/log.

Support the Central Compliance Monitoring team members in carrying out their monitoring reviews and other work, as required.
Manage performance
- Create own quarterly action plans to deliver the annual goals and objectives agreed with the Group Compliance line manager and report on own progress.
Manage internal relationships
- Foster close relationships with Compliance Partners globally, and other business support areas, including Group Legal, Group Risk and Internal Audit.

Co-ordinate with Internal Audit and External Audit on those activities that cover compliance obligations only (during a review and in an ongoing way).

Qualifications
Graduate in any stream
Skills:
- Team player with good interpersonal and influencing skills.

- Strong communication and presentation skills, both orally and in writing.
- Commercial awareness – a commercial and pragmatic approach to managing compliance.
- Information Technology literate – knowledge of Microsoft office packages needed
