Description

Associate Client Advocate - Broker learns skills to serve as a liaison between insurers and clients and assists the team with servicing, placement and production. This person will participate in managing key client relationships, create policy documents, handle billing, assisting with endorsements and renewals and overall assisting the yacht practice in North America in achieving its servicing and revenue growth targets.

The individual will be responsible for issuing client-related documentation including but not limited to policies, endorsements, quote comparisons, compliance forms and other client service documents, and assisting with the new business pipeline development and contributing to new business opportunities. 

Performance Objectives:

  • Function as a resource on yacht accounts within the practice; participate in client communications/conference calls/meetings and provide technical expertise

  • Issue policies, endorsements and compliance documentation

  • Assist senior brokers with placement of yacht accounts in the market

  • Perform policy reviews

  • Issue and ensure carrier accurate policy and other documentation

  • Contribute to business growth objectives (e.g., participate in new business presentations, attend proactive sales meetings, place new business opportunities and help identify new opportunities)

  • Assist in achieving the goals and objectives of the North American Marine Practice

  • Assist with management of pipeline of prospects

  • Active involvement in the Global Industry Practice Groups 

  • Collaborate with other lines of business to cross sell products and services

  • Maintain and develop relationships with insurance carriers’ partners

  • Foster relationships with existing and prospective clients

  • Learn and utilize WTW software and systems where necessary 

Qualifications

The Requirements

  • High school diploma required. College Degree preferred

  • Minimum five years insurance broking experience 

  • Full insurance broker’s P&C license required within six months

  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite effectively, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with a track record of success working against tight deadlines

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others 

  • Must demonstrate attention to detail

  • Ability to conduct research

  • Must demonstrate core competency of Willis Towers Watson Values & Vision
