Broker

Join our growing Facultative GB team as a Broker, responsible for placing and servicing existing UK cedants, developing new business and building strong relationships with clients and (re)insurance markets.

The Role

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, cedants and UK/international markets.
• Understand client needs and develop appropriate reinsurance solutions.
• Identify markets and negotiate effective placement strategies.
• Work with Account Executives and Sales teams on structuring, pricing and placing business.
• Develop new business through prospecting, RFPs, presentations, cross-selling and account development.
• Manage renewals and respond promptly to new business opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with underwriters and key market contacts.
• Support programme design, pricing and placement of facultative reinsurance solutions.
• Ensure accurate and compliant processing of contracts, MRCs and placement documentation.
• Maintain accurate CRM and broking system records.
• Deliver high-quality client service and support retention and revenue growth.
• Work collaboratively across WTW and comply with all WTW, FCA and regulatory requirements.

What you’ll bring:

• Preferably ACII qualified or working towards ACII.
• Proven experience in insurance broking or underwriting.
• Good knowledge of the (re)insurance market, ideally including retail, reinsurance and/or retrocession.
• Strong broking, negotiation, presentation and relationship management skills.
• Commercially focused with experience developing new business and managing client relationships.
• Ability to understand and communicate complex insurance/reinsurance concepts.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Strong IT skills, including Excel and MS Office; experience with broking systems, Power BI and PQ/RIC is advantageous.
• High level of integrity and commitment to FCA and regulatory requirements.
