Description

Responsible for leading the growth, profitability, technical excellence, and market positioning of offshore wind, offshore transmission infrastructure, and related renewable technologies. The role will serve as part of the Global Team as a subject matter expert and strategic leader, partnering with underwriting, risk engineering, claims, distribution, reinsurance, and global product teams to deliver sustainable and profitable growth.

This role will for part of the global team responsible for developing and executing the global strategy, build strong relationships with developers, operators, brokers, lenders, and investors, and establish the company as a leading insurance partner for offshore wind and broader renewable energy risks

The Role

Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

As part of the Global Offshore team the role would be involved in supporting the following areas in offshore wind, offshore transmission infrastructure, and related renewable technologies.
•    the design and execution of the Global Renewable Offshore Wind strategy aligned with global business objectives
•    portfolio growth and profitability targets.
•    Identify emerging market opportunities, regulatory developments, and industry trends across regional and global markets.
•    Build a multi-year growth plan for offshore wind, offshore transmission infrastructure, and related renewable technologies.

Client / Relationship Management Executive Responsibilities:

•    Serve as the lead insurance advisor for key offshore wind clients, delivering strategic risk and insurance solutions across construction and operational phases
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders (C-suite, project directors, risk managers, lenders)
•    Coordinate global service delivery, ensuring consistent and high-quality client engagement across jurisdictions
•    Provide advisory on risk transfer strategies including Delay in Start-Up (DSU), marine, liability, and operational risks

Business Development

•    Identify and originate new business opportunities across Europe and globally within the offshore wind sector
•    Leverage market networks to strengthen the company’s position as a leading offshore wind insurance broker
•    Collaborate with colleagues across the global platform to cross-sell capabilities (e.g., project finance, M&A, risk consulting)
•    Participate in industry events, conferences, and thought leadership to enhance market visibility and brand presence

Placement & Technical Broking

•    Lead the structuring and placement of complex offshore wind risks into the global insurance and reinsurance markets
•    Develop innovative solutions for large-scale and technically complex projects, including floating wind where relevant
•    Maintain strong relationships with insurers and underwriters, ensuring competitive terms and capacity access
•    Prepare high-quality underwriting submissions and negotiate optimal outcomes for clients
