The WTW Construction & Engineering team is now looking for a Client Executive specializing in construction and energy insurance.
This is a great opportunity to join an international company, working with some of the most exciting and complex projects for Swedish companies, as well as some of the largest construction and installation companies in the Nordics. You will work in an environment where you can develop your skills and knowledge together with the Swedish team and the Nordic network. You will also have the opportunity to further broaden your skill set through collaboration with specialist teams across EMEA and the US within Construction and Natural Resources.
The role
As our new Client Executive, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, with a primary focus on construction/installation and energy companies. You will also act as a construction specialist for our clients within Large & Complex.
In addition, you will act as a placement specialist, supporting other client teams with project insurance and smaller property solutions related to the energy sector.
You will work closely with clients, insurers, and internal specialists to structure and place both project-specific and annual insurance programmes, ensuring that solutions are aligned with the project risk profile and contractual requirements.
The role includes responsibility for all aspects of client service and broking, including new business opportunities, project placements, renewals of annual programmes, and ongoing advisory in risk management.
The role requires registration as an insurance broker, and you will report to the Segment Manager for Construction & Engineering Lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Structuring and placing construction insurance programmes (e.g. CAR, EAR, DSU, TPL), as well as operational insurance solutions within the energy sector
- Leading underwriting processes and market dialogue for complex projects
- Advising clients on risk management throughout the project lifecycle, in close collaboration with the internal Risk Engineering team
- Supporting clients in contractual and insurance-related matters
- Coordinating internal and global WTW resources to deliver best-in-class solutions
Qualifications
About you
You have experience within construction, engineering, or property insurance, gained from broking, underwriting, risk engineering, or claims. You have strong knowledge of relevant markets, risks, and products.
Experience with construction-related insurance covers such as CAR/EAR and project-based solutions is highly valued.
You have a solid understanding of project risks and contract structures and are able to translate this into tailored insurance solutions for clients.
Experience of Swedish standard contracts within the construction industry (e.g. AB, ABT), or similar international frameworks, is considered a strong advantage.
You are an experienced advisor with a proven ability to build strong, long-term client relationships in a project-driven environment.
You demonstrate strong consultative and analytical skills, with a structured and methodical approach, and you enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.
