Description
We are seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to design, develop, and operate enterprise-scale Azure infrastructure platforms supporting global business services. This role is responsible for delivering secure, scalable, automated cloud services through Infrastructure as Code, platform standards, governance controls, and operational excellence practices. The ideal candidate possesses deep Azure expertise, strong automation skills, and experience supporting enterprise workloads with a security-first mindset.
The Role:
- Manage a mature Azure Infrastructure consisting of over 300 Subscriptions
- Design, implement, and manage Azure-based server infrastructure, including Management Groups, virtual machines, networking, and Security solutions.
- Implement and maintain cloud security services including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, Managed Identities, vulnerability remediation, and platform hardening
- Automate provisioning, support and configuration using ARM/Bicep templates, Terraform, PowerShell, or Azure CLI.
- Enforce Azure governance standards including Landing Zones, Azure Policy, RBAC, tagging standards, subscription management, and compliance controls
- Optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and availability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Cost Management.
- Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to support CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads, and PaaS and App services.
- Responsible for support ticket resolution and related troubleshooting of issues in a timely manner.
- Documenting processes, procedures, and infrastructure for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Stay current with Cloud updates and industry trends to recommend improvements.
Qualifications
What you'll bring:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong background with relevant experience working with Microsoft Azure or related Cloud Provider.
- Strong understanding of Server IaaS management (HA, Monitors, Backup, DR)
- Knowledge of Windows Server Security Baselines and Configuration management.
- Experience with Terraform in a production environment.
- Understanding of CI/CD tools and concepts (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bicep or Python.
- Experience with the GitHub Enterprise
- Familiarity with other IAC tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates) for benefits of automating tasks and managing cloud infrastructure
- Basic understanding of AI/ML operational concepts, model lifecycle management, and associated cloud infrastructure requirements
- Experience with Azure Arc and OSConfig
- Experience with Vulnerability Management.
- Experience working within DevOps and Agile delivery models
- Azure certifications or comparable knowledge (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-305).
