Description

WTW is seeking a proactive and highly organised Cyber Security Change Analyst (Junior) to join our Cyber Defence Security Change Management and Assurance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior professional looking to build a career in cybersecurity within a global organisation.
In this role, you will support the day to day operation and continuous improvement of security change and assurance processes. You will help coordinate security change approvals, track Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) driven actions, and improve visibility of cyber security activities across the organisation. You will work closely with both technical and non technical stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, timely follow through, and strong coordination across globally distributed teams.
A foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts is important, along with an interest in security technologies such as firewalls, web and email filtering, and core supporting protocols including DNS, SSL/TLS, HTTP, and SMTP. This role is well suited to someone who is detail oriented, collaborative, and motivated to strengthen cyber awareness and security excellence across the organisation. This is a remote role with Reigate as the base location.

The Role:

  • Proactively support and track Security Change Management approval activities, ensuring agreed timelines are met and appropriate evidence is captured, including standard change and security exception requests.
  • Assess, progress, and help coordinate technical changes to security services, working alongside Cyber Defence teams and business stakeholders.
  • Support changes related to security technologies such as firewalling, web and email filtering, and similar controls, with awareness of common risks including phishing, malware, and compromised services.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the Security Change Management process by leveraging ServiceNow, automation opportunities, and cross‑team collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date process documentation, ensuring clarity and consistency across change and assurance activities.
  • Track and support actions arising from Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) recommendations, ensuring completion within agreed timelines.
  • Provide regular status updates and visibility to leadership, highlighting progress, dependencies, and emerging risks.
  • Participate in recurring meetings and engagement sessions to support alignment, progress tracking, and effective communication across teams.

Qualifications

What you’ll Bring:

  • A technical or security‑focused qualification or at least 1 year of experience in a technical or cyber security environment (e.g., GSOC or similar).
  • Exposure to, or interest in, security technologies such as firewalling, web and email filtering, and supporting protocols (DNS, SSL/TLS, HTTP, SMTP).
  • A basic understanding of the role and functions of a Cyber Security Defence team.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills, with a detail‑oriented approach and experience in task tracking, quality assurance, or operational support.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple activities while maintaining accuracy and consistency.

Personal Attributes

  • A collaborative team player with strong coordination and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable centrally tracking multiple actions and dependencies, enabling clear status reporting and visibility for leadership.
  • Proactive in identifying risks, delays, or blockers early and escalating appropriately.
  • Committed to fostering a positive, security‑aware culture within a fast‑paced environment.
  • Eager to learn and develop deeper knowledge of cyber security tools, technologies, and processes.
