Description

WTW is seeking a Director, Transfer Pricing Planning to join WTW's transfer pricing team. The team is part of a world-class tax department responsible for global tax planning, transfer pricing, tax reporting, and tax audit defense. The transfer pricing team works closely with Finance and business teams around the world to align WTW's transfer pricing arrangements with its business operations and strategic objectives.

The Director, Transfer Pricing Planning will report to the Senior Director of Transfer Pricing Planning and will be responsible for supporting the identification, evaluation, and implementation of transfer pricing planning initiatives and other projects related to WTW's value chain and global business operations.

The Role

  • Manage cross-functional workstreams to identify, evaluate, and implement transfer pricing planning initiatives and related projects
  • Collaborate closely with WTW's Business and Finance functions, including Accounting, Treasury, and Operations, providing practical transfer pricing advice to support business decisions
  • Partner with WTW's Tax Reporting function to ensure intercompany transactions and transfer pricing initiatives are appropriately reflected in US GAAP and local statutory reporting
  • Develop and review financial models, transfer pricing analyses, executive materials, and other key deliverables
  • Support legal entity reviews and remediation activities to help achieve accurate transfer pricing outcomes
  • Collaborate with Legal, Tax, Finance, and business stakeholders to ensure intercompany agreements appropriately document intercompany relationships and transactions
  • Review and provide transfer pricing input on external business agreements and commercial arrangements
  • Provide transfer pricing support for M&A, business transformation, and internal restructuring transactions, including evaluating alternative structures and quantifying transfer pricing impacts

 

Qualifications

The Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of transfer pricing experience with a Big Four accounting firm, law firm, or large multinational corporation, including experience supporting or managing complex planning initiatives
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex transfer pricing concepts and analyses into clear, practical recommendations
  • Strong project management experience, including managing significant cross-functional tax planning or transfer pricing projects and coordinating third-party advisors
  • Advanced financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Proven ability to set priorities, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple workstreams in a complex, fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and time-critical actions
  • Strong strategic, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and research skills
  • Ability to operate independently, collaborate across functions, adapt to change, and support the development of team members
  • CPA, law degree, or other relevant advanced degree preferred

 

Compensation and Benefits 

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $110,000 to $150,000 USD per year.

The role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
