Description

Willis, a WTW company, is seeking an experienced and commercially minded professional to join the Pacific Facultative business as an Associate Director, Casualty & Financial Lines Facultative Broker. This newly created role will be responsible for establishing and growing a dedicated Casualty and Financial Lines Facultative capability within the Pacific region, supporting insurers, underwriting agencies, captives and WTW retail clients with specialist facultative reinsurance solutions. The position represents an exciting opportunity to build a market-leading proposition within a highly specialised and growth-focused segment of the reinsurance market.

Reporting to the Head of Facultative, Pacific, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strategic relationships with insurers, reinsurers, MGAs and facultative buyers, and delivering innovative risk transfer solutions that meet client needs. The role will work closely with WTW's retail and specialty businesses to identify facultative opportunities, strengthen client outcomes, support cross-selling initiatives and reduce placement leakage to competing brokers.

The portfolio will focus on a broad range of Casualty and Financial Lines products and solutions, including Professional Indemnity, Single Project Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers Liability, Cyber Liability, General Liability, structured buy-down solutions, facility development opportunities and captive support solutions. The role will be expected to identify emerging client needs, develop tailored placement strategies and leverage both local and international market relationships to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.

Success in this position will require strong technical knowledge of insurance or reinsurance markets, excellent relationship management skills and a proven ability to generate new business and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have experience working within Casualty, Financial Lines or Facultative Reinsurance, possess a strong industry network and demonstrate the commercial acumen required to build and scale a profitable portfolio. The individual will be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, negotiating complex transactions and collaborating across multiple business lines to deliver strategic growth objectives.

Qualifications

This role offers a unique opportunity to play a leading role in the development of a new specialist capability within Willis. As part of a broader investment in the FINEX and Facultative businesses across the Pacific, the successful candidate will help strengthen WTW's market position, deepen insurer and client relationships, and contribute to the long-term growth and profitability of the organisation through the creation of a scalable, relationship-driven facultative platform.
