As part of the Lisbon Center and the Switzerland Retirement team, you will play a key role in supporting consultants based in our Swiss office. This is a great opportunity to join a high-performing team and make a meaningful impact on our clients’ success.

The Role

Our Switzerland Retirement team advises companies and their pension funds, combining strong analytical capabilities with deep market expertise. We provide strategic guidance on a variety of pension-related topics.

In this role, you will work closely with colleagues in Switzerland and Lisbon to develop solutions for the challenges faced by leading companies and their pension schemes, particularly regarding finance and actuarial valuations. Your main responsibilites will include:

  • Performing actuarial valuations for corporate reporting (US GAAP, IFRS) and statutory pension fund reporting
  • Managing and reporting on pension funds to ensure full compliance
  • Supporting plan design through actuarial modelling, implementation, and employee communications
  • Conducting benefit audits and benchmarking studies
  • Participating in asset/liability modelling
  • Helping develop employee communication materials
  • Contributing to benefits-related work in M&A projects
  • Developing and updating internal actuarial models
  • Supporting marketing and research initiatives

Qualifications

  • Qualifications
  • A degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, or similar. Other qualifications may be considered based on experience.
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience in employee benefits, whether in consuiting, insurance, broking, or finance is preferred.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory. German is a great plus.
  • Proficiency in IT tools, in particular MS Office such as Excel.
  • Matlab programming skills would be a great plus too.
  • Strong communicator, detail oriented, numerical, and flexible.
  • Can-do attitude with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • You thrive in collaborative team environments and enjoy working with others to achieve our goals.
  • You have strong project management skills and good organizational abilities as well as an aptitude for managing multiple tasks at the same time.
