Description

We are currently seeking a full-time Junior Broker to help continue build out our offering within Direct and Facultative. The successful candidate will work within the Product Recall team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team with a global remit and offers considerable opportunities to grow and develop. 

 

The Role:

  • Ability to understand a client or prospect’s business, situations, opportunities, problems and key issues.

  • Ability to manage relationships and negotiate placement with the (re)insurance market as part of a team.

  • Prepare client and prospect presentations considering the impact of client profitability.

  • Help arrange and participate in marketing meetings i.e. client roadshows, virtual meetings etc. 

  • Help prepare and check market presentations and client documentation as appropriate. 

  • Assist the team with ongoing development, maintenance, and co-ordination around pipeline prospects.

  • Assist with the loading of data into the relevant WTW Systems. 

  • Work with WTW colleagues to determine and implement appropriate placement solutions. 

  • Support the team with processing placements, mid-term adjustments and ad-hoc admin.

  • Identify appropriate markets and assist the team with determining placing strategy.

  • Create and grow relationships with underwriters in London and international re(insurance) markets.

  • Participate in information gathering exercises and ad-hoc market analysis. 

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with WTW guidelines and procedures.

  • Understand, apply and where necessary explain WTW policies and procedures. 

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

  • Preferably CII qualified and working towards the ACII qualification.

  • Knowledge of the (Re)Insurance market in order to address client and technical issues.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong attention to detail. 

  • Ability to assimilate and apply large volumes of data and information and draw conclusions.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.

  • Able to prioritise, manage deadlines and work under pressure.

  • Comfortable explaining complex ideas and making recommendations to clients/client servicing teams.

  • Ability to adapt personal style to work effectively with a wide range of clients, colleagues, and underwriters.

  • Must be prepared to work with integrity and openness, complying at all times with FCA requirements.

  • Good IT skills with good Excel usage capability
