Summary of Role

As a Pharmacy Placement (Rx Placement) Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support to US based Health and Benefits Consultants. In this role, you will collect and analyze information that informs strategic business decisions. You will be expected to produce several clients facing deliverables efficiently and accurately.

Your individual role will include a wide variety of complex projects involving design, financing and ongoing management of pharmacy benefit programs.

You will interact regularly with other members of our United States Health and Benefits Consulting practice via email and phone. You will continually learn about North America health and benefits concepts and principles and apply these skills in a global environment. You will materially contribute to a client’s benefits strategy through managing the carrier bid, procurement, and negotiation process. You will have the ability to significant grow your benefits acumen, and financial, client and project management skills by working on cutting edge projects alongside leaders in the industry.

The Role

You will collaborate with U.S. Specialists within the Pharmacy Community of Expertise. To support the delivery of that strategy, you will: 

  • Partner with consultants and team members to perform financial analyses including cost savings and data analysis projections, review and update of pricing and other analytical models
  • Develop client analyses and other related documents for WTW clients and prospects including presentations and review of pharmacy contracts
  • Analyze and compare vendor products, services, and contracts
  • Design, distribute and evaluate responses to RFPs
  • Support the pharmacy practice on intellectual capital initiatives such as development of new financial models or tools as applicable
  • Assist with the preparation of client deliverables
  • Utilize onshore-provided templates to facilitate various steps in the Rx Placement space
  • Coordinate with Onshore Team regarding sending requests, timing, status and follow-up
  • Prepare deliverables within time critical schedules
  • Monitor due dates and timelines including when there are conflicting priorities
  • Manage follow-up questions / requests from Onshore Team
  • Participation in project status calls as needed
  • Attend internal and client kick off meeting with the Onshore Team and/or other stakeholders
  • Schedule meetings and coordinate efforts of colleagues

In addition to this direct client work, you will:

  • Attend training, meetings and/other educational events to increase understanding of trends, regulations, and developments in the market
  • Conduct Internal Peer Reviews for other colleague’s work
  • Develop an awareness of the insurance carrier and vendor marketplace, specifically Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM)
  • Understand and effectively articulate carrier / vendor specific strengths and weaknesses
  • Receive training from experienced consultants and assist to review client needs
  • Comply with internal excellence and compliance requirements 
     

Qualifications

The Requirements

Required Skills and knowledge: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience working with health and benefits plans, preferably gained in a benefit consulting / brokerage firm or at a health insurance company
  • Proficient in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of North America pharmacy benefit programs, US health and benefit consulting practice (preferred)
  • Project management experience advantageous to have
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and produce quality deliverables on time
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet internal/external deadlines
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Strong client service orientation and ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner
  • Continuous improvement mindset – increasing task efficiency and effectiveness with each product or service repetition

Technical Skills and Experience 

  • Strong analytical and integrative skills
    • Critical thinking/problem solving skills as it relates to data analysis
    • Being able to interpret data sets
    • Interpret financial modeling results for reasonability
  • Experience with data entry, validation, and manipulation 
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to review and check data against subject domain knowledge (e.g., health and group benefits) and understand the data’s applicability/accuracy for the designated purpose
  • Ability to conduct meetings and communicate well with onshore partners
  • Experience in the following RFP activities:
    • Budget Tool
    • SOW/SoS
    • Project Timeline
    • Kick-off Deck
    • Introduction Document
    • RFP Questionnaire
    • Experience in Formulary and Retail 30 Disruption Summary
    • Experience in doing Qualitative Analysis
  • Good to have:
    • Demonstrated familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Copilot), including prompt design and optimization
