Description
Are you an experienced Program Manager who thrives on bringing structure, momentum and clarity to complex transformation? This is an opportunity to play a central role in an enterprise program, helping to coordinate and deliver the people activity initiatives that will support a major technology-enabled transformation across the organisation.
Working closely with the HR Program Lead, HR Talent Lead, HR Leadership Team, workstream delivery teams and HRIT, you will ensure activities are well planned, coordinated, tracked and delivered against clear objectives and timelines. You will be the connective tissue across multiple delivery teams, bringing disciplined execution, strong stakeholder management and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-moving global environment.
This is an 18-month fixed-term contract and can be a fully remote role, giving you the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK, with optional office access if desired. As an alternative location, we will also consider candidates based in the US Eastern Time Zone.
The Role
• Partner with workstream delivery teams and project managers to turn transformation objectives into practical delivery plans, milestones and execution roadmaps.
• Build and maintain integrated program plans, milestone trackers, RAID logs, risk registers and status dashboards to provide clear visibility of progress.
• Drive day-to-day program execution, ensuring activities remain aligned to agreed objectives, timelines and outcomes.
• Identify and manage dependencies, constraints, risks and critical path activities, escalating issues with clear recommendations and mitigation options.
• Coordinate across delivery teams to ensure key deliverables are completed on schedule and to agreed quality standards.
• Provide structured updates to program leadership and stakeholders on progress, risks, issues, dependencies and decisions.
• Establish and manage governance cadences, including steering committee reviews, workstream check-ins and escalation protocols.
• Build strong working relationships with HRLT, HRIT, Internal Comms and Change Management, Legal, Finance, AI TMO and functional leaders.
• Ensure HRIT and change management deliverables are integrated into program planning, readiness, training and communications activity.
• Promote best practice program management standards and capture lessons learned to improve future transformation initiatives.
• Ensure the program is aligned to and tracking against the financial goals and targets (investment, savings).
Qualifications
What you’ll bring
• Significant project or program management experience delivering complex global transformation in a large enterprise environment.
• Experience in HR transformation, operating model transformation, technology-enabled change or large-scale business change programs.
• A track record of managing multiple cross-functional projects or workstreams simultaneously, including dependencies, risks and stakeholder expectations.
• Experience supporting executive governance forums and preparing clear, decision-focused leadership reporting materials.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation and meeting management skills, with the confidence to drive alignment and decisions in ambiguous environments.
• Structured and disciplined delivery skills, with the ability to translate strategic objectives into practical plans and measurable outcomes.
• Working knowledge of both waterfall and agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• An analytical mindset, with confidence using data, metrics and technology to inform decisions and status reporting.
• Practical experience using generative AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or equivalent, to improve productivity, problem-solving and business outcomes.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile or MSP is desirable.
