The Future of Finance program has implemented a new Finance Target Operating Model, there is now a clear separation of roles and responsibilities between Business Finance and Controllership, and an overall shift to utilizing a Finance Operations team to operate and optimize global end-to-end processes.
Global processes are designed by Global Process Owners in conjunction with Finance Operations, Finance Operations then work with WTW’s centralized service delivery centre (WE DO) to determine the most efficient and effective location and means to perform processes.
Finance Operations Network
Finance Operations Network (FON) is part of Finance Operations. FON ‘s responsibilities include:
Drive process improvement and seek for opportunities to automate, standardize and optimize operations across the finance function leveraging capabilities including change mgt, technology, WE DO and finance SME knowledge.
Represents Finance and is the link to R2R Operations service delivery model. Works closely with service management function to monitor and resolve service delivery performance for both BPO and captive operations.
Works closely with the GPO’s to support end to end process design, strategy, improvements, and changes.
The Role: RTR Central Support – Subject Matter Expert
You will become part of the FON R2R SME team with in-depth system and process knowledge. You will report into the FON lead. As part of the FON R2R team you will focus on: Operational support activities, supporting end to end process improvement, standardisation, and harmonisation in R2R processes and supporting transition to R2R Operations.
Areas of responsibilities:
Blackline/Oracle GL – develop SME’s skill, support operational activities, standardization efforts and quality improvements
Operational RTR activities including management of Volumetrics, SLAs and Open Items
Support initiatives related to R2R continuous process and system improvements
The subject matter experts are responsible for their respective process area. Reporting into Finance Operations they will each own a sub-process, with ongoing interaction between Controllership (client of Finance Ops), GPO (overall process design owner) and with WE DO’s Corporate Operations and Service Management team.
Qualifications
Requirements/Skillset
Preferably an internal WTW candidate with Controllership and/or FP&A experience.

Ideally a Qualified Accountant with at least 5 years accounting or finance experience.
Good knowledge of all-round finance processes, process design and process implementation.
Advanced Excel / Power query skills
Logical thinker and problem solver (thinking outside the box), process and system analytical capabilities
Experience in financial systems (AP, AR, GL modules). Ideally Oracle but not essential.
Excellent communication skills - able to lead meetings and communicate effectively both verbally and written.
Able to effectively manage stakeholders at various levels within the organization.
Experience working in a large and complex organization.
