Description

A senior global RIM practitioner responsible for developing and implementing the organization’s records and information management program in line with established standards and policies. The role leads remediation initiatives, oversees projects across the information lifecycle, and handles client and auditor queries. It requires collaboration with Legal, Data Privacy, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Risk and Compliance, Technology, and business stakeholders, as well as experience working with onshore and offshore teams in a multi‑vendor environment. The position also involves reviewing compliance with RIM principles—including information categorization, retention, legal holds, and disposition—across a large and diverse organization. Specialty skills in areas such as analysis, application technologies, or data warehousing may be required. This role is remote. 

The Role:

  • Assist in developing and implementing a global RIM program based on standards and policies, while supporting the firm in Records Management remediation initiatives and the client and auditors’ queries process
  • Deliver a consistent approach to colleagues involved in RIM remediation projects; establish self as a point of contact from a RIM perspective and assist in bridging potential gaps between WTW’s Lines of Business, Functions and Colleagues; work closely with the relevant project coordinators to move projects forward
  • Support business teams in developing their own remediation plans, including data discovery, classification and analysis where required
  • Establish strong working relationships and lead project workstream meetings with assigned business teams, with all internal and external stakeholders, ensuring actions are agreed, responsibilities assigned, deadlines set, and remediation activity tracked through to completion
  • Project manage the annual records destruction process globally for both hard copy and electronic records. Execution of data destruction, ensuring controlled governance process followed at all times
  • Responsible for data integrity, preservation requests and applying/maintaining legal holds - particularly when executing remediation activities
  • Manage vendor consolidation where possible and contribute to the negotiation of vendor service level agreements, contracts, fees/rates and impact on budget
  • Secondary RIM support to the business and end user community globally.
  • Liaise with key Business and office contacts as required and build effective relationships.

Develop specific project management skills like:

  • Progress tracking and reporting to RIM Project Manager
  • Escalation of any delays or blockers to RIM Project Manager
  • Proactively looks for ways to improve operational efficiency whilst engaging with each business team
  • Help the business work towards full records compliance, with minimal impact 

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to present key findings to senior executives 
  • Solid knowledge of record and data retention - legal and regulatory requirements 
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the lifecycle management of records  
  • Candidates with implementation of retention requirements and process improvement experience are preferred – proven delivery experience is key 
  • Proven analytical and organizational skills 
  • Ability to plan, lead and implement projects across regions and work on virtual teams 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet deadlines 
  • Must be a self-starter and able to self-direct  
  • A team player who delivers high quality service in a virtual environment 
  • Conscientious and driven by an attention to detail with a focus on high quality work 
  • Proactively looks for ways to improve operational efficiency toward continuous improvement 
  • Technical RIM experience in M365 an advantage 
  • Experience with legacy data remediation planning and implementation preferred 
  • Effective in a fast paced, busy and pressurized environment 
  • Adaptive to change 
  • Overall strong extensive experience of business management experience in a complex, financial services, or professional services organization 
  • Strong working in a Records and Information Management (RIM) or Privacy/Data related role 
  • RIM certification of industry qualification is desirable
