Description
As a leader of our Asia Pacific (APAC) expat and high-end medical benefits business you will be responsible for developing and managing services for risk and health coverages for global/regional mobile populations, key local nationals and senior level staff of companies based in the region. This will include being part of our Center of Excellence (COE) for Asia Pacific. The role will ensure clear lines of engagement across the geography including the sharing of knowledge, consistent go to market strategy (internal and external) and responsibility for management of expatriate vendor relationships in the region.
The role will focus on continuing to maximize revenue growth in this segment as well as improving operating processes in Asia, which should include utilizing our technology platforms for improved member experience and administrative efficiency.
Key Features
- Regional subject matter expert for expat/international and high end medical benefits with oversight of all solutions and services in the region
- Responsible for the P/L of Expat and High End Medical Solutions portfolio, continuing to grow WTW revenue by managing and driving sales and client development in this high growth area
- Leading client sales in the subject matter area for the region – leveraging existing Health & Benefits (H&B) and Integrated Global Services (IGS) client relationships while pro-actively engaging with Lead Relationship Managers and Account Directors for specific client relationships
- Act as Matrix Manager of resources dedicated to expat, international or high end medical benefits, both at the regional or local level
- Developing and expanding the number of subject matter experts in this area, within APAC
- Implementing an efficient and effective delivery structure for this subject matter area by working with local countries colleagues and shared service centre, including but not limited to starting and maintain an effective centralised delivery mechanism aligned with the COE model
- Integrating technology into our solution to produce an improved employee experience and streamlining of our administration
- Assisting with development and publishing of new research in this subject matter area
- Develop new or refined client solutions in the region, including facilities, packaged solutions, and integrating with other WTW service lines where possible. Partnering with regional H&B and IGS business leaders to customize service proposition as needed by geography and business segment while aligning with local sales and marketing strategies.
- Ensure common delivery processes and excellence is maintained for all clients handled by the COE in APAC
- Driving brand awareness through participation in client events and industry forums
- Lead / support RFP responses across the region
- Own a personal sales target to achieve along with overall regional sales and growth target.
Qualifications
The Requirements
• 10+ years sales across health and risk benefits experience in expat and mobile benefits
• Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and bring people together within a matrix structure
• Knowledge of and significant experience working with insurance vendors within expat /high end benefit space
• Knowledge of insurance vendor structures and processes
• Ability to work both independently and with client teams, including virtual COE’s with members in different geographic locations
• Strong organizational and reporting abilities and flexibility to work in a performance driven environment managing multiple project priorities
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills a must for this job
• Diligence in identifying, following up and resolving issues
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Applicable insurance license(s)
• Ability to travel as required
• Multilingual candidates preferred (English required, Mandarin & Japanese appreciated)
