The Role

Our Retirement team in Switzerland advises companies and their pension funds. Utilising a combination of strong analytical skills and in-depth market knowledge, we provide analytical and strategic advice on a wide range of topics related to pension solutions. 

 

In this role, you will work with colleagues in Switzerland and Lisbon to design and implement solutions to the challenges faced by leading companies and their pension funds, especially related to financing and actuarial valuations. 

 

You’ll collaborate on a wide range of projects involving employee benefit plans. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Perform and review actuarial valuations for corporate reporting (USGAAP, IFRS) and statutory pension fund reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Manage and report on pension funds, maintaining full regulatory compliance and advising clients on governance best practices.

  • Support plan design through actuarial modeling, implementation strategies, and employee communication initiatives tailored to client needs.

  • Conduct benefit audits, benchmarking studies, and asset/liability modeling to inform client decision-making.

  • Serve potentially as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, building strong relationships through proactive communication and delivery of high-quality advice.

  • Contribute to M&A projects from a benefits perspective, providing insights on risk and cost implications.

  • Enhance internal actuarial models and tools; contribute to marketing and thought leadership initiatives.

  • Guide and mentor junior team members, fostering technical development and consulting skills.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • A degree in Actuarial ScienceMathematicsEconomics, or in other quantitative studies. Other qualifications may be considered based on experience;
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in employee benefits - whether in consulting, insurance, broking, or finance;
  • Fluent speaking/writing in English is mandatory. German or French would be a great plus.
  • Comfortable supporting lead consultants in client meetings, preparing materials, and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Ability to articulate complex actuarial and financial concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical aptitude; advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Flair for IT solutions or programming skills are a plus.
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
