Description

The Role

You will contribute to the overall success of the organization by effectively managing all (re)insurance credit control transactions.

Responsibilities

•           Ownership of legacy numbers, with the ability to investigate and identify outstanding monies from cedants and carriers within the market

•           Complex reconciliation and cash allocations to clear aged debt ledgers

•           Liaison with brokers and carriers to build strong relationships and support the collection of outstanding funds

•           Management of active live accounts as well as resolution of legacy accounts

•           Reconciliation of premium payments to the market

•           Preparation of reports and management information for senior management

•           Preparation of monthly reports and ad hoc analysis

•           Attendance at company meetings to report and present information

•           Identification and posting of incoming cash

•           Management of cash items on the technical ledger / Local Broking System

•           Monitoring of expected premium and collection of insurance debt

•           Reconciliation and collection of intercompany receivables

•           Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to progress the collection process

•           Analysis and identification of inconsistencies and recording errors in booked premium transactions, with follow‑up to ensure prompt resolution.

•           Management of the Reinsurance Credit Control Mailbox, responding to internal and external queries

•           Regular meetings with internal Broker Assistants to review Gap and Escalation Reports and take necessary actions

•           Allocation of premium payments, including accurate processing of both direct and indirect premium receipts from clients, ensuring correct application to policies, and resolving any discrepancies promptly

 

Qualifications

The Requirements 

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economy, or a related field,

•           Previous Reinsurance Credit Control experience is essential

•           Self motivated

•           A can-do attitude

•           Careful, detail-oriented work attitude, patient personality, believes in teamwork

•           Ability to set priorities and organize work to meet strict deadlines 

•           Proficiency in MS Office applications especially Excel

•           Advance English communication skills, both verbal and written

•           All male candidates must have completed their military services

•           Well organised with good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills 

•           Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external clients and stakeholders

•           Ability to work in a high performing team environment.

•           Flexible work attitude

 

This role offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work to support flexibility.
