Description

As Senior Director, Enterprise Data Strategy & Transformation, you will serve as a key strategic partner to the Global Head of Data, helping shape, operationalize and accelerate WTW's enterprise data strategy across a highly federated global organization.

This role operates at the intersection of business strategy, data, technology and organizational change. You will work across WTW's businesses and corporate functions to understand priorities, identify opportunities for collaboration and reuse, align investments, and accelerate the adoption of modern data, analytics and AI capabilities.

Success in this role requires more than developing strategy. You will act as a connector, influencer and change agent, building strong relationships across business and technology teams, helping leaders navigate complex decisions, identifying opportunities to create enterprise value, and driving strategic initiatives that no single business can deliver alone.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders while acting as the strategic right hand to the Global Head of Data, helping convert enterprise ambitions into measurable outcomes.

This role is aligned to our London office. However, given the flexibility of our hybrid working model and the absence of a fixed office attendance requirement, we are open to the role being based in other WTW locations across the UK or US.

The Role

Enterprise Strategy & Alignment

  • Partner with the Global Head of Data to define, evolve and operationalize WTW's enterprise data strategy.
  • Maintain an enterprise-wide view of data, analytics and AI initiatives across businesses and functions, identifying opportunities for alignment, reuse and collaboration.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable roadmaps, investment priorities and measurable outcomes.
  • Help shape the enterprise data operating model, including engagement models, decision rights and accountability across central and business-aligned teams.
  • Identify and resolve strategic gaps, overlaps and dependencies across business portfolios.

Business Acceleration & Modernization

  • Partner with business-aligned data and technology leaders to identify opportunities to accelerate value realization through data, analytics and AI.
  • Advise business leaders on modernization priorities, data strategy, operating models, platform evolution and organizational capabilities.
  • Facilitate sharing of successful approaches, capabilities and lessons learned across businesses.
  • Support capability and maturity assessments to identify opportunities for improvement, modernization and strategic alignment.
  • Connect businesses with enterprise capabilities, expertise, vendor relationships and reusable assets that accelerate delivery and reduce duplication.

Strategic Programs & Enterprise Initiatives

  • Lead cross-business strategic initiatives where enterprise coordination creates greater value than individual business execution.
  • Drive enterprise efforts related to data products, data sharing, interoperability, AI readiness, metadata, business context and other strategic priorities.
  • Establish and maintain a portfolio view of strategic initiatives, helping prioritize investments and manage dependencies across businesses.
  • Develop recommendations and implementation plans for complex enterprise challenges that span organizational boundaries.

Investment & Vendor Strategy

  • Identify opportunities to optimize data, analytics and AI investments across the enterprise.
  • Lead strategic assessments of technology, data and vendor investments, including rationalization, consolidation and enterprise sourcing opportunities.
  • Partner with business and procurement leaders to maximize enterprise buying power and improve commercial outcomes with strategic vendors.
  • Develop business cases and value frameworks that connect investments to measurable business outcomes and long-term enterprise value.

Executive Influence & Communications

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, helping leaders navigate complex strategic and organizational decisions.
  • Build alignment among diverse stakeholders without relying on direct authority.
  • Develop executive-level communications, strategy presentations, investment proposals and leadership updates.
  • Clearly articulate priorities, trade-offs, progress and value realization across a broad range of stakeholders.

Qualifications

What you'll bring

  • Significant experience in enterprise strategy, data and analytics leadership, management consulting, business transformation or technology strategy.
  • Demonstrated success operating in large, complex and highly federated organizations.
  • Proven ability to drive alignment, influence senior leaders and build consensus across organizations with competing priorities.
  • Experience leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives involving multiple business units, geographies and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong understanding of modern data, analytics and AI capabilities, including data platforms, data products, governance, architecture and operating models.
  • Experience evaluating strategic investments, developing business cases and driving value realization.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including experience with vendor strategy, investment prioritization or enterprise sourcing decisions.
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, simplify complex problems and move fluidly between strategic thinking and practical execution.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred
