About the Team
The Liability Claims team supports clients across the lifecycle of liability claims by acting as a key interface between insurers, insureds, and other stakeholders. The team focuses on policy interpretation, coverage advocacy, efficient coordination, regulatory compliance, and high‑quality claims data management. Working closely with broking and advisory colleagues, the team aims to deliver consistent, compliant, and client‑centric claims outcomes while continuously strengthening claims governance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preliminary reviews of claim intimation documents, policy wordings, endorsements, and insured responses to insurer queries under supervision.
- Assist in logical coverage assessments and identification of potential coverage issues or gaps, escalating observations appropriately.
- Coordinate with insurers, insureds, advocates, adjusters, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely exchange of information and follow‑ups.
- Support preparation of policy wording summaries, endorsement drafting, gap analyses, and claim documentation.
- Assist in handling liability claims across stages including notification, information collation, query resolution, and settlement support.
- Maintain accurate claims data, trackers, MIS, and management reports in line with internal standards.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements, including IRDAI guidelines and internal governance frameworks.
- Contribute to team process improvements, standard operating procedures, and quality enhancement initiatives.
- Support senior team members in audits, client reviews, and insurer discussions as required.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and documentation review skills with attention to detail.
- Sound written and verbal business communication skills.
- Working knowledge of liability insurance concepts and policy structures.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet defined timelines (TAT/SLAs).
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.
Qualifications
- Graduate or Post‑graduate in any discipline (Insurance / Risk Management preferred).
- 1–4 years of experience in insurance claims, preferably liability lines (CAS, FINEX or related).
- Familiarity with Indian insurance regulatory environment and IRDAI guidelines is an advantage.
