Description
The Role:
WTW is seeking an experienced Power BI / Microsoft Fabric Developer to support the BI Analytics Reporting team in delivering enterprise reporting and analytics solutions. This role will focus on designing and developing Power BI dashboards/semantic models supporting Finance, HR, and Marketing teams.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models that provide actionable insights to business users.
Develop and maintain data solutions using Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse and Warehouse.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective data models and visualizations.
Build and optimize Power BI datasets, DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations.
Integrate Power BI solutions with Azure Data Lakehouse, Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse, and Azure Synapse environments.
Perform data modeling and data analysis to ensure high-quality and performant analytics solutions.
Optimize existing reports and dashboards for performance, scalability, and usability.
Support enhancements and troubleshooting within the existing reporting environment.
Follow established development standards, governance practices, and devops processes.
Collaborate with data engineers and database teams to ensure data integrity and consistency.
Qualifications
The Requirements
4+ years of hands-on experience developing Power BI solutions in enterprise environments.
Strong experience with:
Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service
DAX, Power Query (M)
Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, including:
Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, including direct lake feature.
Building Power BI semantic models and implementing Act-As and row level security.
Strong experience with data modeling and analytics solution design.
Advanced SQL skills and experience working with databases such as SQL Server, Synapse, Oracle, or similar platforms.
Ability to quickly understand existing data models and reporting environments.
Experience working within agile development teams and DevOps processes.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $130,000 to $145,000 CAD per year.
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
