Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the branch P&L for the Health & Benefits business, including revenue growth, profitability, and cost discipline.
  • Drive new business acquisition through consultative selling, leveraging WTW’s differentiated advisory, analytics, and broking capabilities.
  • Build a strong and sustainable pipeline, ensuring disciplined pursuit and conversion of opportunities.
  • Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to expand WTW’s presence within the region.
  • Contribute to overall India H&B growth strategy in alignment with regional and global priorities.

Client Leadership and Growth

  • Act as a strategic advisor to clients, engaging at CXO level to deliver tailored Health & Benefits solutions.
  • Drive high client retention through proactive engagement, value demonstration, and consistent delivery excellence.
  • Expand client relationships through cross-sell and up-sell across WTW’s portfolio (health, risk, wellbeing, flexible benefits, global solutions, and specialty lines).
  • Lead key client engagements including renewals, program redesign, benchmarking, and long-term benefits strategy.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex client matters, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

Sales and Solutioning Excellence

  • Champion WTW’s advisory-led approach, integrating data analytics, market insights, and innovative solutioning into client conversations.
  • Partner with specialty teams (e.g., Global Benefits Management, Wellbeing, Analytics, Risk & Broking) to deliver differentiated client outcomes.
  • Drive solution-based selling rather than transactional placements, enhancing wallet share and client stickiness.
  • Strengthen insurer and partner relationships to deliver optimal pricing, coverage, and service outcomes.

 

Team Leadership and Culture

  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team across client management, sales, and operations.
  • Embed a culture of collaboration, accountability, and client centricity aligned to WTW values.
  • Coach and develop team members to enhance consultative selling, technical expertise, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Drive talent development, succession planning, and retention within the team.

Operational Excellence and Governance

  • Ensure disciplined execution across renewals, placements, claims oversight, and client servicing.
  • Drive consistency in delivery aligned to WTW’s global standards, tools, and methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal governance frameworks, and risk management protocols.
  • Maintain data integrity across systems (e.g., CRM, revenue tracking, documentation platforms).
  • Uphold strong governance with zero tolerance for compliance or E&O risks.

Market Positioning and Thought Leadership

  • Represent WTW in the local market, strengthening brand visibility and credibility.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging risks to provide forward-looking insights to clients.
  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, client seminars, and market engagements.

Key Success Metrics

  • Branch P&L (Revenue growth, profitability, cost management)

  • New business wins and pipeline strength

  • Client retention and portfolio growth

  • Cross-line revenue and solution penetration

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience

  • MBA or equivalent professional qualification.

  • 12–18 years of experience in employee benefits consulting, insurance broking, or advisory roles.

  • Proven track record in P&L ownership, business development, and strategic client leadership.

  • Strong consultative selling experience with ability to engage senior stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams within a matrixed organization.

  • Deep expertise in Health & Benefits, including underwriting, program design, and market dynamics.

  • Strong alignment with WTW’s advisory, analytics-driven, and client-first approach.
