Join WTW Re as a Reinsurance Treaty Director Step into a high-impact leadership role as a Reinsurance Treaty Director at WTW, where you’ll shape innovative treaty strategies for some of the world’s leading insurers and reinsurers. You’ll combine deep technical expertise with commercial insight to design solutions that optimize capital, manage volatility, and unlock growth. Lead the design, structuring and placement of complex proportional and non-proportional reinsurance treaty programs across multiple lines of business.
Serve as a senior advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on capital optimization, volatility management, portfolio performance and market positioning.
Manage end-to-end renewal processes, including data analysis, pricing strategy, negotiation with reinsurers and final placement execution.
Drive business growth through client development, strategic pitches and mentoring high-performing team members.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with global reinsurance markets to secure optimal terms and capacity.
Qualifications
The Requirements
Extensive experience in reinsurance broking, underwriting or a related insurance/reinsurance discipline, with strong exposure to treaty structures.
Demonstrated expertise in proportional and non-proportional treaty design, pricing concepts and reinsurance market dynamics.
Proven ability to lead complex client engagements, manage renewals and negotiate effectively with reinsurers.
Strong analytical capability, with experience interpreting actuarial models, exposure data and financial metrics.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience; relevant industry qualifications (e.g., ACII or similar) are advantageous.
