Our Aviation team is seeking an Aviation broker to join the Sydney office to work in a collaborative and high-performing team. 

The purpose of this role is to back up and work with the Heads of product lines to manage and expand a portfolio of clients, ensuring that their risk management and insurance broking needs are addressed. This includes developing relationships with existing clients and implementing business development strategies for new opportunities, contributing to the overall growth of the portfolio.

The Role

  • Service and manage clients as directed by the Head of Product line
  • Prepare client reports
  • Liaise with underwriters, insurers, and other key industry stakeholders
  • Assist the Head of Product with client renewal programs
  • Market WTW and develop new business
  • Manage customer records and databases
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve client queries
  • Process insurance closings, endorsements, and policy certification/wordings
  • Manage claims
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and other key partners
  • Explore cross-selling opportunities with WTW broking
  • Obtain formal client feedback annually for all qualifying accounts in accordance with Willis Towers Watson Client Service protocols
  • Represent the client's perspective internally and within teams when making decisions about processes, approaches, and future strategies
  • Ensure settlements, client cash allocations, and credit management are within agreed parameters
  • Guarantee that each client has an agreed service plan, and that client advocates implement all aspects of the plan
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with insurers
  • Achieve and maintain compliance with relevant legislative requirements for your client base 
  • Work in conjunction with the Head of Product to generate new business opportunities contributing to the continued growth of the team
  • Offer premium funding where appropriate

Qualifications

The Requirements

  • Proven Insurance broking experience
  • Excellent technical skills in coverage and wording review
  • An understanding and proficiency of claims management processes
  • Experience with the placement and servicing of complex and multinational clients
  • Proven success in generating new business
  • Oral and written communication skills on individual and small group basis
  • Proficiency in all MS Office products and Outlook
