About Us

WTW is an award-winning advisory, broking, and solutions company that supports clients worldwide in transforming risk into opportunities for growth. With a rich insurance heritage dating back to 1828, from the Titanic in 1912 to the Moon Buggy in 1971, WTW brings deep industry expertise and longstanding experience. Our WTW Regional Delivery Center, based in the heart of Lisbon, brings together a strong global team of more than 400 colleagues who deliver operational excellence every day through innovation and streamlined, efficient solutions.

The Opportunity

In our "Corporate Risk and Broking" division, we empower companies to navigate the complexities of risk and insurance management. By aligning our strategies with our clients’ corporate goals, we create robust, cost-effective solutions that protect their businesses and fuel growth.

We are seeking a Junior Automation Developer to build intelligent automations, develop technical prototypes, and support the implementation of AI‑driven solutions across Western Europe. You will work closely with an international team in Europe to translate Risk and Broking requirements into functional automation flows, scripts, prompts, and data processes that deliver measurable impact.

This is an ideal role for someone early in their career who brings curiosity, technical foundations, and a strong interest in AI, automation, and data engineering.

Familiarity with Power Platform tools is a plus but not required. We value curiosity, structured problem-solving, and a disciplined approach to deadlines.

What You’ll Bring

  • Design, develop, test and deploy automation workflows using Microsoft Power Platform, APIs, scripts and low-code solutions.
  • Build technical prototypes for AI use cases, supporting both Power Automate Desktop (UI automation) and Power Automate cloud flows.
  • Support the creation, refinement and optimisation of generative AI prompts, including Azure OpenAI and Copilot solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the AI Implementation Analyst and in-country business analysts to translate business requirements into clear technical user stories, functional workflows and automation logic.
  • Execute testing cycles, troubleshoot issues and iteratively enhance solutions to improve performance, accuracy and reliability.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and continuously improve existing automations to ensure stability and scalability.
  • Produce and maintain clear documentation, including process maps, technical documentation and user guides, in line with team standards.
  • Keep up to date with emerging AI, automation and productivity technologies, including Copilot, Azure, Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • Academic degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Management or a related field.
  • Basic proficiency in Python, JavaScript, R or another scripting/programming language, with a willingness to continue developing technical skills.
  • Familiarity with Power Automate, Power Apps or similar low-code automation platforms.
  • A foundational understanding of AI concepts, including generative AI and basic machine learning principles.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in a relevant area (such as automation, low-code development, IT, operations, analytics, internships or academic projects).
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and thoughtful approach to challenges.
  • Basic understanding of process mapping and business process analysis.
  • Good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • High attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset, including testing, documentation and consistency.
