About the Financial and Marine Market Services (FINMAR) Team
Financial and Marine Market Services (FINMAR) is a specialized global capability within WTW that supports the placement of Financial Lines and Marine insurance business with selected, pre‑identified insurers. It operates as a formalized and measured market services methodology, using data analytics and structured insights to continuously improve insurer performance for the benefit of WTW clients.
Summary of Role
The Management Information Analyst supports Financial and Marine Market Services (FINMAR) by delivering accurate, timely, and high‑quality management information reporting for insurers and internal stakeholders. The role is responsible for generating standard and ad‑hoc reports, maintaining reporting data and systems, and partnering closely with business users and United Kingdom stakeholders to enhance reporting capabilities, automate processes, and ensure data integrity across Financial and Marine Market Services operations.
The Role
- Generate and deliver standard and ad‑hoc management information reports for insurers and internal stakeholders within Financial and Marine Market Services.
- Maintain the integrity of management information processes through detailed data review, cleansing, and validation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Work closely with business users and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate functional needs into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, and implement management information reporting frameworks and solutions supporting Financial and Marine Market Services.
- Perform basic support, testing, and debugging activities in test and production environments.
- Analyze and validate report outputs using strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Maintain and support existing reporting tools, systems, and processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive automation wherever feasible.
- Manage workflow priorities and ensure timely delivery of reporting outputs.
- Build and sustain effective working relationships with stakeholders while managing expectations.
- Document and maintain reporting processes and procedures to support team training and continuity.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work rotational day shifts as required.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or information technology from a reputed institute.
Experience and Technical Skills
- 5–6 years of experience in Management Information or reporting roles, preferably within Financial and Marine or insurance‑related domains.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex data manipulation, automation, and macros.
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in Visual Basic for Applications macros, automation, and user form development.
- Experience with Microsoft Access, Structured Query Language, and SharePoint for data management and workflow solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Visio, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience designing interactive dashboards and visual reports using Power BI.
- Exposure to Power Platform tools such as Power Apps and Power Automate is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Proven ability to engage with stakeholders, gather requirements, and deliver actionable insights.
- Working knowledge of Testing procedures
- Exposure to documentation activities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of the insurance and consulting industry (desirable)
- Excellent problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills
