Summary:

A role will be for a Broker in our GB Trade Credit team which forms part of the Credit Risk Solutions (CRS) global line of business. This role will involve co-ordinating and contributing to the marketing and negotiation of business within the London Markets on a day-to-day basis for various clients.

The Role:

  • Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Supporting the team with client management; including placement strategy and expanding relationships.
  • Working with existing clients to review their existing programmes, presenting best possible solutions.
  • Completion of formal client documentation in accordance with the relevant compliance procedures; preparing broking documentation (e.g. confirmation of cover and endorsements).
  • Attend industry events and conferences, when necessary.
  • Develop good working relationships and work closely with the main Insurers in the region
  • Support the team in accurate budgeting, forecasting and tracking of revenue
  • Contribute to delivery of our new business strategy and targets within the Global Line of Business

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • Role would suit someone who prefers working in a high performing team environment rather than as an individual contributor.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn about insurance market dynamics and core processes
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to interpret and use data optimally
  • Highly organised and attention to detail
  • Good use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Foreign language(s) a plus but not a must
  • Educated to Degree level. Willingness to commit to Industry Qualifications (E.g. CII and/or CICM)
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills essential
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal, oral & presentation) skills and interpersonal skills essential
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment where lateral thinking, initiative, self-motivation and decision-making skills are crucial
