Description
The Role
• Support day-to-day client service by responding to routine requests and coordinating queries with clients, insurers and other third parties
• Work with senior colleagues to build an understanding of clients’ businesses, insurance programmes and risk management needs
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and policy information on internal systems
• Assist with the preparation of documentation required to renew and place business in the London and overseas markets, including MRCs and endorsements
• Help prepare market presentations, underwriting submissions, reports and summaries of insurance
• Review quotations and policy documentation for accuracy, escalating technical queries where appropriate
• Support the presentation of terms and cover options to clients under the guidance of experienced colleagues
• Develop knowledge of construction insurance products, market practices and relevant technical requirements through on-the-job learning and formal training
• Attend client and market meetings as required, preparing materials and recording actions
• Work collaboratively with clients, insurers, colleagues and the network to progress actions and resolve routine issues
• Follow WTW procedures, governance requirements and service standards at all times
Qualifications
What you’ll bring
• A basic understanding of insurance, gained through study or relevant work experience; construction insurance knowledge is helpful but not essential
• A strong interest in developing a career in insurance broking and a willingness to learn
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to build positive working relationships
• A client-focused, professional and responsive approach
• Good organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
• The ability to follow processes, work accurately and know when to seek guidance
• A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute as part of a team
• Competence in Microsoft Office and confidence learning new systems
• An interest in working with data and producing clear, accurate documentation
• Degree-level education, an apprenticeship or equivalent relevant experience is welcome but not essential
• Progress towards an insurance qualification, or a willingness to study towards one, would be advantageous
