    Description

    The Role

    Responsible for a portfolio of clients and prospects with accountability for delivering optimum terms and conditions to meet the Clients requirements. Reporting to Head of Broking for Line of Business.

    • Develop broking and placement strategies with the Account Director and Executive.
    • Review slips for key clauses, and Commission Grid Brokerage.
    • Negotiate terms with lead and follow carriers.
    • Ensure market subjectivities are clear and actionable.
    • Manage binding of markets and removal of subjectivities.
    • Communicate broking progress to the Account Director an Account Executive.
    • Accuracy to complete and bind markets on the PPL platform.
    • Complete the Broking Platform for all lines placed and close placement before inception.
    • Ensure timely agreement of slips and endorsements by markets to meet client deadlines.
    • Support AD/AE in client meetings, prospecting, and joint account planning.
    • Support revenue growth initiatives related to SMB, engineering, and commission.
    • Contribute to RFPs with market insights, marketing strategy, placement structure, and pricing.
    • Build and maintain relationships with carriers and support the carrier management team.
    • Provide market insights on rating trends, emerging insurer focus areas, changes to terms and conditions.

    Qualifications

    The Requirements

    • Successful track with Natural Resources Insurance experience, within Broking or Underwriting. 
    • All Inclusive relationships in the Natural Resources Downstream market locally and overseas.
    • Proven track record of developing relationships, strategies, and program design.
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence within a matrix environment.
    • Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional client service and building of client relationships.
    • Proactive and diligent approach to all tasks.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Strong skills in problem solving, planning, and budgeting.
    • High levels of business and financial acumen with an understanding of company strategy and change management.
    • Preferably with professional qualifications, e.g. ACII or similar country equivalent, or relevant industry experience.
