Description
The Account Manager role will be responsible for and have experience in, all aspects of client servicing to maintain and grow an existing book of Construction business. The Account Manager will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, strong service ethic ensuring incomparable quality service is always delivered to our clients. Additionally, they will generate new business opportunities to contribute to the success of the team and will work to achieve individual and team targets and agreed service level agreements.
The Role
- As a client Manager, ensure that the client’s risk management and insurance broking objectives are identified and actioned to deliver high-quality services.
- Client service strategies are implemented in accordance with Willis Client Service.
- Multi-tier client contact is implemented and reviewed for all qualifying accounts in accordance with Willis Client Service.
- Formal client feedback (Net Promoter Score) is obtained annually for all qualifying accounts in accordance with Willis Client Service.
- The renewal process is completed with no outstanding renewals.
- In consultation with the QLD Construction Leader, drive the new business development process within the team using appropriate strategies to gain new business for the Group.
- Team new business targets are met annually.
- Personal involvement in all selected new business exercises.
- Maintain the accuracy, currency, and quality of information contained within the pipeline.
- Maximize revenue generated from the existing client base through continual analysis of client profitability and full utilization of WTW/Willis service offerings and facilities.
- Manage the company profile with insurers by identifying and maintaining strategic relationships across all key markets.
- Maintain or improve relationships with insurers.
- Comply with specific business management processes.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Continuous utilization of broking systems and platforms in real time.
- Support training, mentoring, and development of people within the Construction Specialty team.
- Undertake professional development activities as part of your Continuing Professional Development Plan, including internal and external training and educational resources.
Qualifications
The Requirements
- Experienced Account Manager within the insurance broking industry, preferably in construction.
- Proven ability to understand a client’s needs and exceed their expectations.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork.
- Professional, reliable, and able to work autonomously as required with minimal guidance.
- Substantial insurance broking and/or industry experience.
- Significant demonstrated experience in complex coverage and wording reviews.
- Demonstrated understanding of claims management processes.
- Qualifications in accordance with the Financial Services Reform Act (minimum Tier 1 Broking Compliance).
- Broad understanding of business, economic, and environmental factors.
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant business experience.
