Account Executive

The Role

An exciting opportunity is now available for an Account Executive for our offices in Limerick, Cork and/or Galway. The successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of clients and prospects with accountability for retention of clients and new business development. You will manage and develop client and Willis Towers Watson (WTW) relationships and grow portfolio within the business unit and will be responsible for targeting and converting prospects.

Key Responsibilities
• Understand the clients’ business and their insurance / risk placement needs.
• Establish and maintain relationships within client entities and the business community.
• Provide technical, industry and subject matter expertise where required.
• Liaise with clients and insurers and build strong relationships.
• Engage early in the renewal process to ensure high quality service and account
management.
Actively participate in the sales process in relation to winning new clients.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospects using Microsoft Dynamics.
• Respond quickly and accurately to new business introductions.
• Work with colleagues across the business to capitalise on cross selling opportunities.
• Work alongside (and provide direction as appropriate) to the Broking service team.
• Actively create a culture of continuous improvement. Identify and implement ‘’best practice
systems’’.
• Ensure consistency of work practices within the team.

Qualifications

The Requirements
• Relevant years of experience working as an Account Director/Executive or similar role with Insurance
Broking
• Preferably educated to a degree level
• CIP qualified at a minimum with ACII as an advantage
• Willingness to travel to other locations as required
• Proven track record of delivering high levels of client service
• Practical knowledge of account development and appropriate tools to achieve this aim
• Experienced knowledge of insurance markets in order to deal effectively with client and
company needs
• Experienced at new business sales process and track record of converting prospects to
clients
• Skilled at building effective relationships, at all levels, with clients, prospects, associates,
insurers and external specialists
• Ability to represent the practice and WTW with integrity and credibility
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
