This is an exciting opportunity for someone to make the role their own within an environment of support and opportunity.

Working as part of a wider national sales team, the role involves generating revenue by winning new business in the North East of England in line with the regional sales strategy.

Whilst having autonomy for developing a robust pipeline and closing new business, you will be supported by a close-knit team, a highly developed prospect list and a tried and tested approach to winning new business. In addition, you will support the existing client service team in developing opportunities arising from their existing book of business.

The Role

•   Actively drive the sales process and BU activity in the North East by identifying key prospects, working existing established business relationships so as to win and develop profitable clients
•   Supported by the wider sales team, develop and execute strategies to develop and grow a network of relationships among prospects decision makers
•   Initiate first contact and build relationships with allocated prospects to create and convert sales opportunities from first contact to RFP response delivery
•   Development and ongoing servicing of the production pipeline for the BU for both existing clients and new business
•   Work with colleagues across the WTW business to move businesses through the sales process, identifying needs and supporting added value at all stages
•   Ensure that full and accurate details of contact with and development of all prospects are entered and updated on WTW CRM systems.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

•   Insurance industry experience preferred, although we can also consider candidates with a financial services background.
•   Demonstrating the ability to move successfully through a major and mid-market account sales process and successfully close the business 
•   Experience of an existing sales process and the confidence to develop a comprehensive knowledge of WTW products and services and how these compare with the products available from key competitors
•   Delivering a process to support a high win ratio by having the ability to operate at every stage from conducting a positive initial prospect meeting to crafting and delivering a compelling and successful proposal and presentation.  
•   A good book of existing relationships and strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with new clients and maintain strong relationships with existing ones
•   Excellent proven client focus skills
•   Ability to analyse data and situations, providing challenge and recommendations to identify optimum solutions that bring value to clients
•   Experience of working with and adhering to processes and systems that support new business and client service delivery
