This role sits within WTW’s Carrier Management team and is responsible for managing strategic insurer relationships, delivering carrier service agreements, and driving collaboration between insurers, broking teams, and internal stakeholders to support business growth and client outcomes. The position requires strong relationship management, insurance market expertise, analytical capability, and project management skills to influence strategy, identify opportunities, resolve escalations, and enhance the value delivered to both carriers and clients.

The Role

  • Manage key insurer relationships within the GB Carrier Management team.
  • Support delivery of the broking strategy while acting in clients’ best interests.
  • Build strong relationships across carrier organisations and understand their structure, strategy, and underwriting appetite.
  • Deliver commitments under Carrier Services Agreements and coordinate with regional and global teams.
  • Act as the primary contact for assigned carriers and manage key stakeholder relationships.
  • Work with Analytics teams to provide performance insights and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support development, renewal, and growth of Carrier Services Agreements and related services.
  • Proactively manage escalations, claims issues, and strategic placement changes.
  • Use MI and data insights to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct Risk: Put clients’ interests and market integrity at the centre of all decisions and actions.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience managing broker or insurer relationships within a distribution, broking, or underwriting environment.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of broking, underwriting, portfolios, facilities, and panels (experience in these areas is advantageous).
  • Excellent project management, organisational, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver to deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support informed decision-making.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and resourceful, with strong negotiation skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • CII or ACII qualification (or working towards) and strong written and spoken English.
