        Description

        The Role

        As an Advisory Services Consultant, you will be primarily responsible for developing new business, supporting and delivering large, strategic client engagements and serving as strategic advisor to clients in your areas of subject matter expertise. You’ll also be asked to contribute your thought leadership to the overall development of the Health and Benefits business.

          Performance Objectives:

           

          Clients

        • Lead or support assigned client relationships, including large consulting client engagement
        • Ensure a consistent client experience, monitor resources and oversee governance framework implementation 
        • Demonstrate deep subject matter expertise in all products and services within Health and Benefits scope of offering
        • Demonstrate knowledge of the carrier/vendor marketplaces and leverage that knowledge on clients’ behalf  
        • Finalize and present quality deliverables to clients
        • Facilitate the relationship between the client and the carriers and advocate on behalf of our clients to ensure quality service 
        • Meet with clients to help define their needs and then identify and coordinate appropriate resources within Willis Towers Watson as well as external resources to meet those needs 

          Financial

        • Contribute to the growth of our business through achieving new sales goals while also offering technical expertise to other sales teams, and providing high-quality service to our clients 
        • Identify opportunities to cross sell projects and services to current clients; maximize the penetration of key accounts 
        • Thoroughly understand/monitor profitability margins and execute corrective measures in client projects.

          People

        • Work with local Health and Benefits colleagues in India to explore business opportunities and deliver client projects
        • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
        • Demonstrate leadership ability when leading virtual project teams in client delivery  

          Excellence

        • Recognize the need for and support the development of new services, tools or innovative approaches in benefits advisory services and solutions as the marketplace changes 
        • Contributes thought leadership and commercialize our intellectual capital through the development of new tools and approaches
        • Define the scope of the methodology and proposal preparation of health & benefits projects, including consulting contracts, flexible benefits, benefits optimization, benefits consulting & advisory, corporate wellness as well as the connection into placement of insurable benefits 
        • Provide feedback or suggestion to identify opportunities for improvements to efficiency and effectiveness in pursuit of operational excellence 
        • Perform final review of client deliverables

        Qualifications

        The Requirements

        • 5-7 years’ experience and success in the design/management of health and benefits programs gained in a consulting or brokerage environment
        • Track record of success in managing complex client relationships 
        • Experience in working with multiple stakeholders and projects to produce quality deliverables on time and within budget 
        • Polished and well developed written and oral communication skills 
        • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels of an organization
        • Availability to travel on an as needed basis 
        • Ability to diagnose complex client issues and then structure and provide customized solutions and services that achieve client objectives 
        • Interest and aptitude in keeping abreast of latest developments in Health & Benefits plan strategy and contributing to the development of new tools and approaches
        • Bachelors degree and proficiency in English required, a second language a plus
