Explore an opportunity.  As a Health and Benefits Intern, you will work beside some of the industry’s top strategic consultants while you progress toward becoming a thought leader of the future. You will have immediate exposure to real client assignments which will draw on your imagination and creativity as well as your ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and present results. These experiences will help build your technical knowledge and overall industry expertise.

 Love your work. You will partner with consultants, actuaries and analysts to provide support on plan management and actuarial projects through:

  • Performing renewal analysis and negotiation, financial analyses and budget projections, including developing pricing for alternative design features, creating employee contribution strategies, modelling plan design alternatives, and calculating reserves
  • Completing actuarial work through assumption studies, claims analyses and supporting with post-retirement and post-employment valuations and accounting 
  • Analyzing and comparing vendor products, services, and contracts
  • Designing, distributing, and evaluating qualitative and quantitative responses to surveys and RFPs
  • Plan Management activities requiring coordination with our clients

Qualifications

About you.  

  • Progress towards a Bachelors degree in risk management, actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics or any other major with significant quantitative course work with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0
  • Work experience that demonstrates strong technical and client service skills (analyst or client service type of internship preferred)
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Passion for and ability to solve problems and share solutions to exceed the expectations of the client
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills to effectively manage a variety of projects within a specified timeline
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently, but also cooperatively in a close team environment
  • Accepting applications from candidates that graduate with a Bachelor’s degree between December 2025 through June 2026
