Description
Performance Objectives:
Oversees the development of the Broking community to an ascribed standard of technical competency
Provides direction and leadership to the community of brokers within the geography across all lines of business
Ensures global Broking data strategy is consistently implemented by the Broking community within the geography
Manages and develops the Broking leadership team in the geography, within the matrix organisation
Escalation point for all Carrier issues, including escalation management of placement or claims within geography, working with Line of Business Broking Leadership
Leads the Carrier Management team to enable the execution of Geographic and Regional line of business Broking strategies
Holds all regulatory licenses, permissions and technical or other requirements applicable under local legislation
Develop and maintain client relationships as agreed within the region
Creates a consistency of Broking activities across the Lines of Business within the region
Champion all global Broking initiatives, such as Broking Transformation, Operational Improvement, Technology Investment and Broking Competency Development Programs
Qualifications
The Requirements
Professional qualifications such as ACII or similar country equivalent, or relevant industry experience
Educated to a degree, or MBA level (or country equivalent)
Extensive knowledge of the insurance market and ability to understand potential conflicts of interest in CRB activity
Ability to demonstrate evidence of a highly professional and credible approach across the broking market community, resulting in an understanding of client and technical issues and capability to solve
Exceptional communication, negotiation and influencing skills
Excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of developing people
Strong facilitation skills – able to use inclusive and collaborative styles to manage ambiguity and gain agreement
High levels of business and financial acumen with an understanding of company strategy and change management
Strong skills in problem solving, planning and budgeting
