The Business.
The Associate Broker in our Minneapolis Construction team plays a key role in supporting the broking and servicing of client risks for Builder’s Risk, Master Builder’s Risk, and Contractor’s Equipment programs. Operating within established guidelines and under the supervision of experienced team members, this role applies technical knowledge to analyze exposures, assist in structuring risk, and contribute to the delivery of tailored insurance solutions.
Broking Placement Overview
The Associate Broker helps deliver superior results by leveraging deep industry-specific expertise to support clients’ business and risk management needs. Brokers serve as the firm’s intellectual capital, working closely with clients to assess, model, and structure risk in order to mitigate their total cost of risk. In this role, you will support the process of bringing client risks to market by preparing submissions, liaising with insurance carriers, analyzing data, and assisting in negotiations to secure competitive quotations. While core responsibilities remain consistent, each placement presents unique challenges, offering a dynamic and engaging work environment.

Education and Qualifications:
- Completed a prior WTW internship
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3.0 GPA
- Preferred Majors: Risk Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Liberal Arts, Geology (BS), Environmental Geology (BS), Sociology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Demonstration of strong time and task management skills
- Ability to take direction, receive constructive feedback and deliver accurate work product
- Relationship management and customer focus; ability to interface with customers and collaborate internally with teammates to serve customers
Competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills, analytically driven and detail oriented
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Proficient in time management
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is 65,000 - 75,000 USD.
This role is also eligible for a performance-based recognition awards.
