Principal Duties/Responsibilities

The candidate will lead the centrally formed team in Mumbai under Compliance, transitioning work from global locations to Mumbai. Engagement, understanding the scope of work, documentation, defining service level agreements, phased approach, dealing with challenges, effectively deliver projects within timelines are the key responsibilities for this role 

Key Deliverables -

 ▪ Responsible to Lead the development, implementation, embedding and maintenance of an efficient and independent Compliance Centralization Function 

▪ Handle multiple end-to-end transformation with different levels of complexities

 ▪ Prioritize and organize work on a daily basis according to business priorities, to have a detailed and robust work flow built in which will also help build management information reporting on SLA’s 

▪ Strong focus on deliverables and to meet timelines and quality of deliverables 

▪ Plan, schedule & track project deliverables, goals, milestones 

▪ Create and maintain key project deliverables including but not limited to project plan, risk plan, resource management plan, weekly project status reports, communications plan, meeting minutes, actions/issues/decisions register

 ▪ Timely escalations of risks & issues within business as usual activities 

▪ Responsible to the escalation of material issues, incidents and breaches to relevant business and Compliance leadership and other functions, e.g. Legal and Risk.

 ▪ Develop a trusted advisor relationship with stakeholders 

▪ Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs 

▪ Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions 

▪ Deliver and Install technology solutions (In case of Technology projects) 

▪ Participate in Compliance Function ad-hoc strategic or operational projects as requested 

▪ Manage/lead a team of Compliance colleagues, providing support and coaching, and ensuring that performance objectives and development plans are agreed, and performance is reviewed, at least annually, in line with WTW's performance management policies.

 ▪ Succession planning and retention activities; participate in talent acquisition activities as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications 

• Minimum bachelor’s degree a must 

• May possess Project Management skills / Project Management certifications preferred (Prince2 / PMP) 

• Operational Development Programme (ODP) L1 and L2 certified

 • Proven track-record of performance in current role at the highest level 

Knowledge/Experience: 

• 5+ years of experience in an Operational leadership / project management 

• Insurance / broking or financial services industry experience a plus 

• Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
