The Role

Overview:

  • Champion all global Carrier Management initiatives, such as Strategic Trading data, Broking Platform, Strategic carrier agreements, Operational Improvement for the region including governance of facilities and panels.
  • Build strong relationships with Insurer distribution colleagues and leadership within Insurance carriers in Asia and provide a ‘front of house’ role for Willis Asia 

  • Execute regional CRB Carrier Management strategy within Asia

  • Work within project teams relating to Client priorities around Insurer data and engagement

Major Accountabilities:

  • Co-ordinate integration of Global Broking and Carrier Management priorities

  • Provide Insurer data and engagement structure for Clients in Asia 

  • Ability to manage relationships and negotiate placement with the insurance market

  • Take the lead in regional distribution projects and platform development in Asia

  • Provide advice or Insurer information in major client meetings

  •  Work with relevant countries and RLOBs for Insurance market and client events

  • Responsible for developing carrier strategies and carrier relationship management, ensuring appropriate levels of service are provided to carriers as per any contractual requirements

  • Organization and governance of the Facilities and panels distribution within Asia 

  • Collect and disseminate Market information to the CRB Asia business

  • Represent Asia for Market Security and MDI Governance issues

  • Undertaking market benchmarking and analysis of carrier portfolios

  • Ensure maintenance of data to support carrier service and analytics

Financial KPIs:

  • P&L: Responsible for achieving all financial targets as part of the Regional Carrier management and broking team

  • Manage, drive and govern Market Derived Income for Asia

  • Responsible for all CRB commission agreements, carrier contracts, terms of business or similar in conjunction with regional leadership.

Qualifications

The Requirements

  • Educated to a degree, or MBA level

  • Professional qualifications such as ACII or similar country equivalent, or relevant industry experience

  • Extensive knowledge of the insurance market including Lines of business, products and distribution channels.

  • Ability to demonstrate evidence of a highly professional and credible approach across the broking market community, resulting in an understanding of client and technical issues.

  • Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with the Carrier management colleagues, CRB placement teams and underwriting community, taking responsibility for alignment and coordination with specific business units and functions

  • Practical experience of broking and/ or underwriting processes and practices,

  • Project management/ organization skills and experience and ability to deliver to timeframes

  • Presentation and communication skills - ability to present clearly, translating concepts and information in a manner that is appropriate and accessible to all levels
