This role is an integral part of a global delivery team responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and fitness of technical solutions delivered to clients worldwide. The QA Tester focuses exclusively on validating system functionality, performance, and compliance with defined requirements and standards through structured testing and quality assurance practices

 

The Role

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of system functionality, technical solutions, and client business context to effectively validate system behavior.

  • Review functional and technical documentation to ensure test coverage aligns with agreed requirements and acceptance criteria.

  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and test cases for system implementations.

  • Execute and support multiple levels of testing, including unit (with developers), functional, integration, system, regression, and support in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

  • Collaborate closely with developers to ensure high functional and technical quality of deliverables.

  • Document test results, defects, and inconsistencies with clear reproduction steps and expected vs. actual outcomes.

  • Track, validate, and retest defect fixes in coordination with development teams.

  • Ensure delivered solutions meet defined quality standards, business expectations, and acceptance criteria.

  • Review system deliverables for compliance with specifications, standards, and quality processes.

  • Identify, raise, and escalate quality risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact timelines or solution quality.

  • Ensure adherence to established QA standards, testing methodologies, and processes.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA standards, tools, templates, and testing methodologies.

  • Create and maintain test documentation and contribute to functional user documentation as needed.

  • Support UAT and user training by providing testing guidance, defect clarification, and validation support.

  • Track task assignments, test execution progress, and defects, and report status to the Project Manager or QA Lead.

  • Ensure QA activities are completed within planned schedules and accurately record work hours and accomplishments.

  • Communicate testing progress, quality status, and defect resolution clearly to project teams and client stakeholders.

  • Participate in internal and client meetings to present testing results, quality assessments, and readiness recommendations.

  • Support project planning by providing QA effort estimates and input for testing scope, budgeting, and resourcing.

Qualifications

The Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline. 

  • Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance / Software Testing roles. 

  • Strong experience testing web-based applications, enterprise systems, and integrated platforms. 

  • Solid understanding of RDBMS concepts with practical experience using SQL for data validation, test setup, and defect analysis. 

  • Proven experience in: 

    • Test strategy and test plan creation

    • Test case design and execution

    • Functional, integration, system, and regression testing

  • Experience working with structured QA processes and formal defect lifecycle management. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly articulate defects, risks, and quality concerns to technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Experience collaborating with US and/or UK-based teams or clients is preferred.
