Description
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality claims service to insureds, clients, and internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that Key Client Outcomes are met in line with our Service Standards. You will provide guidance from first notification of loss through to settlement to our clients and their representatives, while liaising with insurers, adjusters, surveyors, garages, and lawyers.
Client-oriented case management and rigorous follow-up should come naturally to the candidate. The candidate will also assist the Claims Manager and Technical Support Supervisor (Motor Claims) with their day-to-day operations.
• Providing guidance at First Notification of Loss to clients and ensuring accurate and timely notification to Insurers
• Management and resolution of client / carrier / internal day-to-day queries, seeking assistance as required and from Claims Manager / Account Executives/ Technical Support Supervisor (Motor Claims)
• Building constructive client and 3rd party relationships, under the guidance of Claims Manager and Technical Support Supervisor (Motor Claims) (including but not limited to client / carrier relationship meetings)
• Understanding the Client’s business and their requirements (operational and other)
• Maintaining awareness of accounts, market developments, claims specific changes together with an understanding of the Key Client Outcomes and Service Delivery Targets within the Business Unit
• Claims Management Reporting
• Driving forward claims settlements with insurers based on technical and market knowledge
• Supporting the process of client service delivery, adhering to standardised Group policies and procedures and to agreed service standards
• Assist with other special projects on an ad hoc basis
Qualifications
The Requirements
• Working towards the ACII qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the insurance claims broking sector
• Extensive knowledge of the local insurance market
• Be proactive, flexible and demonstrate a keen willingness to assist fellow colleagues.
• Must also demonstrate good interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, pay attention to detail and thrive in an environment that is always changing
• Ability to organise and prioritise workloads with good time management skills
• Computer Literate, Word, Excel, Power Point
• Fluent in English & French
