Description

As a Life Insurance Consulting Senior Consultant, you will work in project teams as a technical lead for our clients. You are also expected to contribute to client management, project management and staff mentoring. Our projects cover a wide range of fields including:

Actuarial Valuation and Review, covering

Embedded value valuation
Risk based capital and internal economic capital valuation
Own Risk Solvency and Assessment
IFRS 17 reporting

Insurance Management Consulting, including

M&A independent actuarial valuation
Market strategy and entry
License application
Capital management
Asset liability management
New product development, design and pricing
Design and implementation of management reports

Software modelling, including:

Processes transformation and automation
Economic capital model
Liability and stochastic models
Asset liability management model
IFRS 17 modelling

You will work closely with global and regional consultants and experts who will complement your experience and skill, in terms of industry development trend knowledge, actuarial techniques, projects and team management.

Qualifications

The requirements:

- Qualified or nearly qualified life actuary with more than 5 years experience for Consultant and 7 years experience plus for Senior Consultant
- Life insurance valuation experience is a must, ideally HK risk based capital or internal economic capital experience
- Familiarity with other valuation bases or experience in Embedded Value or IFRS 17 would be an advantage
- Experience in using actuarial software and data analytical tool; Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel (including VBA) and PowerPoint
- Ability to work well as part of a team, good communication skills, able to efficiently work with stakeholders, and projects management experience preferred
- Strong desire to learn and solid problem-solving skills
- Fluent in oral and written English, and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin)
