Summary:
We have an excellent opportunity for an administrator to join our team and support the management of a portfolio of captives and (re)insurance companies as part of our service team. We are looking for an administrator with office experience, but no prior knowledge of insurance needed, to join our great team in Guernsey.
You will help maintain strong relationships with assigned clients while learning about their business and industry. This role will also give you exposure to working with owner/parent companies, insurance regulators, directors, auditors, actuaries, bankers, and tax advisers.
Key responsibilities include supporting compliance with regulatory requirements, assisting in producing financial and management information, and helping prepare management accounts, ad hoc reports, budgets, and forecasts in formats required by clients. You will also assist with the timely filing of regulatory and statistical reports, help prepare year-end financial statements for client companies, and liaise with external auditors as part of a team. Additionally, you will monitor and learn to ensure that each company complies with Guernsey Company Law.
No prior experience is required, but a willingness to learn, good organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential. Training and support will be provided to help you develop your understanding of the industry and succeed in your role.
The Role:
- Under the direction of an Account Director, you’ll contribute to the management of a portfolio of (re)insurance companies as part of the service team.
- Maintaining an on-going relationship with assigned clients and gaining an understanding of the clients’ business and industry.
- Relationship management with owner/parent company, insurance regulator, directors, auditors, actuaries, bankers, tax advisers etc.
- Responsibility for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Responsibility for production of financial and management information.
- Preparation of Management Accounts, and any other ad hoc reports and budgets, forecasts etc. in a format prescribed by our clients.
- Preparation and timely filing of all regulatory and statistical reporting requirements
- Preparation of client companies’ year-end financial statements and liaising with external auditors.
- Monitoring and ensuring that each company complies with Guernsey Company Law.
- Cash management and reconciliation in accordance with instructions provided by the Board, including liaison with the company’s banks and investment managers and the production of appropriate reports.
- Liaise with client service team to coordinate client board meetings
