Description

The Work & Rewards Associate Director is responsible for leading consulting engagements focused on job architecture, compensation strategy, performance management, and broader total rewards solutions. The role partners closely with senior HR leaders and business executives to design and implement programs that enhance employee experience, improve organizational effectiveness, and support business growth in the Indonesia market.


This position requires strong analytical capability, deep knowledge of rewards practices, and the ability to lead teams in delivering high‑quality client solutions.

 

The Role

  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of Work & Rewards consulting projects (e.g., job leveling, job evaluation, compensation structure design, executive compensation, salary benchmarking).
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, including CHROs, HR Directors, Compensation Leaders, and business executives.
  • Diagnose client needs and recommend customized total rewards strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Develop frameworks for job architecture, job grading, competency models, and role design.
  • Conduct compensation analyses, benchmarking, and market intelligence using recognized survey tools and methodologies.
  • Design compensation structures, incentive programs, and performance management frameworks.
  • Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and quality standards.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop analysts and consultants within the team.
  • Ensure effective project governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Identify new opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
  • Lead proposal development, project scoping, and pricing.
  • Contribute to practice growth through thought leadership, market insights, and participation in client events.
  • Stay updated on Indonesia’s labor regulations, compensation trends, and HR best practices.
  • Provide clients with guidance on regulatory compliance related to compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

The Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Psychology, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Min. 8–12 years of experience in compensation & benefits, total rewards, HR consulting, or organizational development.
  • Prior experience in a reputable consulting firm or multinational corporation is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent client management and communication abilities.
  • Leadership skills with proven experience managing teams.
  • High attention to detail and project management discipline.
  • Business‑savvy, with ability to translate analytics into insights and recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; data visualization skills are a bonus.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Strong professional presence and facilitation skills.
  • Collaborative and team‑oriented, while able to work independently.
