Description
This role is responsible for driving new business growth, expanding market share, and strengthening our position across Property & Casualty (P&C), Marine, Financial Lines and Construction insurance solutions.
The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of the Singapore sales strategy, contribute individually to large new business opportunities and play a hands-on role in securing complex, high-value client opportunities. This role is ideal for a proven business development or sales individual from the insurance broking, underwriting, or risk advisory sector who combines strategic vision with a strong track record of delivering commercial results As the Sales Director for Corporate Risk & Broking Singapore you will:
Drive Strategic Growth
Develop and execute a market-leading sales strategy to accelerate growth across Property, Casualty, Specialty, and Construction insurance lines.
Identify and capitalize on emerging market opportunities, industry trends, and client needs to create sustainable revenue growth.
Build a robust pipeline of new business opportunities across mid-market, corporate, and large account segments.
Win New Business
Be responsible for the new business target across CRB Singapore, managing, coaching and supporting the sales function in Singapore to successfully execute on a dynamic pipeline of opportunities.
Personally lead, develop, and close strategic and large-scale client opportunities.
Build strong relationships with senior client decision-makers, risk managers, CFOs, procurement leaders, project owners, contractors, developers, and insurers.
Lead or support major client pitches, tenders, and RFP responses.
Drive cross-selling opportunities and collaborate with specialist practice leaders to maximize client value.
Partner Across the Business
Work closely with Client Management, Broking, P&C, Construction, Financial Lines, Marine, Energy, and other Specialty teams to identify and convert opportunities.
Collaborate with regional stakeholders and growth teams to support strategic business initiatives.
Strengthen Market Presence
Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, networking forums, and client engagements.
Enhance brand visibility and reputation within the Singapore insurance and risk management market.
Build strategic partnerships and professional networks that support business growth.
Deliver Sales Excellence
Drive complete adoption of best practice sales frameworks and tools including account planning, CRM usage and social selling.
Ensure pricing discipline on new business opportunities to deliver profitable growth.
Qualifications
The Requirement
Minimum 8 years' experience in Commercial Insurance space
Holds BCP, ComGI and PGI certifications. Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline with Insurance qualifications such as ACII, a plus.
Proven success in a sales, business development, client leadership, or broking role within the insurance industry.
Deep understanding of the General Insurance market, with strong expertise across Property & Casualty and exposure to Specialty and/or Construction insurance solutions.
Demonstrated track record of achieving revenue growth, winning major accounts, and building relationships with key stakeholders of large clients.
Executive presence including the ability to network, influence, and collaborate with a complex range of interpersonal styles within WTW, client organizations, and partners/vendors/carriers.
Experience managing complex sales cycles and strategic client engagements.
Strong business acumen: the ability to learn quickly about WTW’s capabilities, strategic plans, and business objectives.
