Our Retirement team combines expertise in retirement, investment and benefits consulting to support global organizations worldwide in designing, managing, administering and communicating all types of retirement plans. Whether a client has a defined benefit pension or a defined contribution plan, we work with them to determine the right approach to design, funding, investing, governing and employee engagement that fits their specific goals.

 

In this exciting role as an Actuarial Analyst – Retirement, you will have immediate exposure to client assignments which will draw on your imagination and creativity as well as your ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, present results. These experiences will help build your technical knowledge, consulting skills and overall industry expertise. 

 

Performance Objectives:

  • Develop technical knowledge and skills in the Retirement area in Korea 

  • Deliver on projects to meet or exceed client expectations 

  • Develop intellectual capital and new tools as required by business need 

 

[People]

  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams 

  • Help support the training and growth of the Retirement analysts 

 

[Clients]

  • Collaborate with senior actuarial consultants to support client projects related to the design, funding, accounting, implementation, and management of various benefit programs.

  • Participate in projects aimed at helping clients evaluate and manage risks associated with their benefit programs.

  • Conduct actuarial valuations according to applicable accounting or funding standards, including tasks such as data analysis, setting assumptions, modelling, and preparing client reports.

  • Provide pension benefit administration assistance to ensure service levels are maintained.

 

[Financial]

  • Provide support for ongoing projects and consistently achieve designated billable hours objectives.

  • Demonstrate effective time management skills.

  • Contribute to sales and marketing initiatives by assisting in the preparation of proposals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science and Business Administration. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, particularly Excel 

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail 

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment dealing with multiple projects and clients

  • Strong communication skills 

  • Preferred who is in the process of SOA exam or Korea Actuary exam 

  • Proficiency with English and Korean
