Description

Key responsibilities

Agile delivery leadership

  • Facilitate Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, and Backlog Refinement.

  • Coach teams on Scrum principles, agile ways of working, self-management, and continuous improvement.

  • Help teams establish effective working agreements and maintain a collaborative, transparent, and accountable delivery culture.

  • Support Product Owners in maintaining a clear, prioritized, and sufficiently refined backlog aligned with business objectives.

  • Promote small, usable increments and regular feedback rather than activity-based delivery or status-only reporting.

Delivery excellence

  • Enable teams to deliver software solutions predictably and sustainably while maintaining appropriate quality standards.

  • Identify, manage, and help remove impediments affecting team performance and delivery commitments.

  • Make risks, assumptions, dependencies, and delivery constraints visible, and facilitate timely decisions and escalation when required.

  • Provide stakeholders with clear visibility into progress, priorities, delivery forecasts, risks, and outcomes.

  • Use practical team and flow measures to identify constraints and support improvement without turning metrics into individual performance targets.

  • Encourage effective software delivery practices such as automated testing, continuous integration and delivery, release readiness, production feedback, and operational support.

Supporting AI and automation solution delivery

  • Facilitate delivery activities for teams building software, workflow automation, and AI-enabled solutions.

  • Partner with Product Owners, technical leads, and business stakeholders to align delivery plans, priorities, dependencies, and expectations.

  • Help teams balance experimentation, learning, and innovation with realistic delivery commitments.

  • Ensure that key risks, assumptions, quality expectations, and business impacts are visible and actively managed through the delivery lifecycle.

  • Foster collaboration among business stakeholders, software engineers, automation specialists, data and AI practitioners, and operational users.

  • Support teams in moving solutions from discovery and experimentation through development, validation, release, and ongoing improvement without being expected to serve as the AI subject matter expert.

Continuous improvement and stakeholder alignment

  • Facilitate retrospectives that produce practical actions and measurable improvements.

  • Help teams improve quality, efficiency, predictability, and delivery maturity over time.

  • Build productive relationships with business leaders, Product Owners, technology teams, and delivery partners.

  • Facilitate discussions that create alignment, resolve conflict, and support timely decisions.

  • Share relevant lessons and effective agile delivery practices across teams and stakeholders.

What success looks like

  • Teams consistently deliver high-quality increments aligned with business priorities.

  • Risks, blockers, and dependencies are identified early and addressed proactively.

  • Stakeholders have confidence in delivery plans, forecasts, status reporting, and execution.

  • Agile events are focused, valuable, and lead to better decisions and team outcomes.

  • Teams demonstrate continuous improvement in effectiveness, quality, and delivery predictability.

  • Software, automation, and AI-enabled initiatives move efficiently from concept through delivery while maintaining appropriate quality and operational controls.
